New York City Day 2

We continued our day in the Big Apple and what a lot of walking we did today.

The first item we did was we went all the way to the top of the sky, ok maybe not to the sky, but we did come pretty close. We went on top of the Empire State Building. We rode all the way to the 86th floor and lucky none of us never blew away, but in fact we were blown away by the  fantastic views. It was so cold and windy on top of the Empire State Building.

At lunch we had the chance to see one of the biggest landmarks that is portrayed in every New York Film, Grand Central Station. Some of the girls got together and reenacted a famous scene from the first episode of Gossip Girl. The food was really good because we had a lot of different options to choose from and we went to the biggest Apple Store in New York City. The biggest Apple Store is located in Grand Central Station, but most people think it is located on 5th Avenue.  In the Main Terminal when we looked straight up we saw constellations and stories from Greek Mythology. It was so beautiful and we couldn't believe all the stories told just looking straight up on the ceiling. Grand Central Station was even better than the movies.

Look at the cool ceiling!

After lunch, we all went on about a three mile walk through the city. It was so tiring, but so worth it because of our of our true New Yorker, Garrett. We had a chance to see Wall Street, Battery Park, the Famous Bull, the old Federal building, St. Paul Cathedral, and the new World Trade Center Monument. The highlight of this walk was having a chance to go on the Brooklyn Bridge. It started to rain and it became very cold, but it was worth it because we had a chance to see the Manhattan skyline and many other parts of the city.

We walked 1.2 miles across the Brooklyn Bridge
Garrett told us everything we needed to know about New York
After we were completely exhausted we had a chance to do what every girl loves to do...SHOPPING!!! We went to SOHO and spent our parents money very well. Don't worry we bought gifts with this money for you!

Since shopping makes you hungry next up was Chinatown for dinner. Our Taiwanese friends said it was more American Chinese Food than actual Chinese food, but the food was still really good.

You were only allowed to use chopsticks! It was an experience for everybody!
Tomorrow on the list is the Statue of Liberty and Broadway. It should be another fantastic day in New York City!!!
